Reserved Technical Equipment (VTZ)

Our service is designed so that you don't have to worry about reserved technical equipment. We take over the complete agenda and deliver the result — valid inspection reports and order in the documentation. Specifically, we arrange for you:

• Professional inspections and tests (OPaOS) of all four types of VTZ through inspection technicians holding valid certificates for the relevant type and group of equipment. A professional inspection and test checks the safety condition of the equipment after manufacture, assembly, installation, reconstruction and repair, as well as during operation (§ 13 ods. 1 of Decree No. 508/2009 Coll.).
• An initial audit and inventory of the equipment — we map which VTZ you operate, which group they belong to and what state your documentation is in.
• Keeping the accompanying and record-keeping documentation under § 8 of Decree No. 508/2009 Coll., including records of VTZ and the records of inspections, checks and tests carried out.
• Monitoring and notification of deadlines — each item of equipment has its own inspection interval; we track them systematically and alert you in good time.
• Coordination of inspection technicians for all 4 groups of VTZ — instead of several suppliers you have a single point of contact.
• Resolving deficiencies found, including alerting you to the need for a shutdown in the case of a fault posing an immediate threat to life and health.
• Inspections after assembly and reconstruction — the initial inspection, and an official test where the law requires it. An official test is carried out before commissioning on VTZ of group A and on selected gas equipment (§ 12 ods. 1 of Decree No. 508/2009 Coll.).

We provide this agenda on a one-off basis (for example when you need to put overdue inspections in order) or in the form of ongoing contractual care, where we take care of everything long-term and you simply receive completed inspection reports and notifications. With contractual care, a major advantage is that we can link VTZ with the other areas of safety — BOZP, fire protection and the occupational health service — under a single supplier.

We cover all four types of reserved technical equipment under Decree No. 508/2009 Coll. So you don't have to deal with several suppliers — we take care of your entire equipment portfolio at once. The deadlines are indicative — for a specific item of equipment they may differ according to the group, the environment and the manufacturer's instructions. We will draw up the exact schedule for your equipment during the initial audit; the complete tables according to the annexes to the decree can be found in the VTZ guide.

As an operator, you are obliged to arrange professional inspections and professional tests of VTZ within the statutory deadlines, to keep records of the equipment and retain inspection reports for the control authorities, to operate the equipment only through professionally competent persons, and to rectify deficiencies found (§ 8 of Decree No. 508/2009 Coll. and § 9 of Act No. 124/2006 Coll.). In the common parts of residential buildings, these obligations are fulfilled by the administrator or the owners' association. For a breach of obligations in the field of BOZP, the labour inspectorate may impose on the employer a fine of up to €100,000 (§ 19 ods. 1 písm. a) of Act No. 125/2006 Coll.). If an occupational accident has occurred as a result of the breach, the law sets minimum fines — at least €20,000 in the case of serious damage to health and at least €33,000 in the case of death.
